From Closed-Off to Open and Inviting
Before the bathroom renovation, this Harrisdale bathroom was divided into separate compartments for the toilet, shower, bath and vanity. While the overall footprint was workable, the layout made each area feel smaller than it needed to, creating a bathroom that felt cramped, dated and disconnected. Instead of functioning as one cohesive room, the space was broken up by walls that restricted flow and limited the sense of openness.
Designed for Space, Comfort and Flow
The goal of this bathroom renovation was to remove that closed-in feeling and create a more spacious, luxurious environment. By opening up the layout and rethinking how the room was used, the homeowners were able to achieve a design that feels far more generous and relaxing. The vision was to create a contemporary bathroom with better flow, improved functionality and a more refined, spa-like atmosphere for everyday living.
A Transformation That Changed Everything
Removing the dividing walls had the biggest impact, instantly changing how the bathroom looked and felt. The new layout made room for a custom timber-look double vanity, a freestanding white bath and a generous walk-in shower with frameless glass. Large-format tiles, chrome fixtures and LED-backlit mirrors helped complete the look, bringing in a clean and contemporary finish while still feeling warm and welcoming.
A Spacious Bathroom with Lasting Appeal
The completed bathroom renovation now feels open, calm and beautifully balanced. What was once a series of tight, enclosed spaces has been transformed into a flowing bathroom that feels much larger and more inviting. The final result shows how thoughtful planning and well-chosen finishes can completely reshape a room, turning an outdated layout into a standout feature of the home.
