Kalamunda Bathroom Renovation

This project involved a complete reworking of both the main bathroom and master ensuite, transforming dated, confined wet areas into a cohesive, high-functioning layout with a strong sense of space and continuity. The original rooms were heavily segmented with poor flow, minimal storage and ageing finishes. We stripped both areas back to structure, reconfigured the layouts, and rebuilt them with a focus on openness, symmetry and long-term usability.

The ensuite was designed as a wetroom-style space, combining a freestanding bath, open shower and double wall-hung vanity into a single, seamless zone. Floor to ceiling tiling in a soft neutral palette creates a calm, consistent finish, while the large-format tiles minimise grout lines and keep the look clean. The double vanity with wall-mounted tapware and full-width mirror cabinet delivers strong storage without visual clutter, and the in-wall cistern keeps the toilet area streamlined. A heated towel ladder and quality chrome fixtures complete a layout that feels open, balanced and practical to use.

The main bathroom follows the same language but with its own layout response, incorporating a double vanity, separate shower zone and improved circulation throughout. Structural and plumbing changes allowed all fixtures to be repositioned for better spacing and usability, with in-wall services again used to keep lines tight and reduce bulk. The combination of 600x300 tiling, stone tops and custom cabinetry gives the room a durable, low-maintenance finish suited to everyday use while still presenting at a high level.

Across both bathrooms, the result is a significant upgrade in how the spaces function and feel. What were previously closed-off, outdated rooms are now bright, open and easy to use, with considered detailing throughout and a consistent finish that ties both areas together.
