Opening Up the Space
Before the bathroom renovation, the space had good overall size but felt far more confined than it needed to. Dividing walls separated the toilet, shower and vanity into smaller enclosed areas, creating a layout that felt segmented and closed in. Although there was plenty of room to work with, the original design did not make the most of the available space or natural flow of the bathroom.
A Vision for Something More Luxurious
The goal of this bathroom renovation was to transform the dated, compartmentalised layout into a more open and inviting retreat. The homeowners wanted a space that felt calm, spacious and a little more indulgent for everyday use. Creating a spa-like atmosphere was a key focus, with the design centred around improving flow, bringing in warmth, and making the room feel more connected and visually balanced.
Thoughtful Changes, Big Impact
One of the most significant changes was removing the dividing walls, which immediately opened up the room and changed the way the entire bathroom felt. A freestanding bathtub was introduced as a striking centrepiece, while a custom timber-look double vanity added warmth and practicality. Large-format tiles, chrome fixtures and a frameless glass shower helped bring the whole design together, creating a clean and contemporary finish without feeling cold or overly minimal.
The Final Transformation
The completed bathroom renovation now feels spacious, refined and welcoming. What was once a closed-off and fragmented space has been transformed into a luxurious open-plan bathroom that feels far more generous and relaxing. The final result shows how smart layout decisions and carefully selected finishes can completely reshape the look and feel of a home, turning an everyday bathroom into a standout feature of the property.
