More Than a Cosmetic Update
This Atwell bathroom renovation was a full transformation that addressed both the appearance of the space and the structural issues holding it back. Before the renovation, the bathroom felt dated and awkward, with an old bath, darker finishes and a poorly filled doorway that compromised the overall look and function of the room. The goal was to create a bathroom that felt more open, modern and properly resolved from every angle.
A Better Layout with a Stronger Finish
One of the biggest changes was replacing the bathtub with a spacious walk-in shower, instantly improving both functionality and the overall feel of the room. At the same time, the previously filled doorway was properly bricked in and finished, allowing the walls to feel seamless and complete. These changes helped create a bathroom that not only looks far more refined, but also works better for everyday family use.
Contemporary Contrast with Lasting Appeal
Large-format grey tiles in the shower zone, crisp white wall tiles and matte black fixtures gave the bathroom a strong contemporary identity without feeling overdone. A floating vanity, stone benchtop, frameless glass shower screen and black-framed mirror all contributed to a look that feels clean, modern and highly considered. The finished result is a bathroom that feels brighter, more spacious and far more polished than the one that came before.
