A Compact Space with Bigger Possibilities
Before the renovation, this Samson bathroom and laundry felt dated and lacked the layout, finishes and functionality needed for modern living. The original space showed its age through older fixtures, beige tones and a closed-in feel, while the limited footprint made it difficult to imagine how much more it could offer. The challenge was to completely transform the area without compromising on comfort or practicality.
Designed to Make Every Bit of Space Count
The goal of this renovation was to create a bathroom that felt far more luxurious and functional than its size would normally suggest. Clever planning was central to the design, with the layout carefully reworked to include both a generous walk-in shower and a back-to-wall freestanding bath. The intention was to maximise the available space while still delivering a bathroom that felt open, refined and easy to use every day.
Balancing Warmth, Texture and Clean Lines
A custom timber floating vanity introduced warmth and softness, helping balance the more industrial feel of the concrete-look feature tiles used through the bath and shower zones. Large-format wall and floor tiles helped create a clean, spacious look, while the frameless glass shower screen kept sightlines open and uncluttered. Thoughtful additions such as built-in niches, wall-mounted tapware and mirrored storage also helped the room feel polished and practical without adding visual heaviness.
A Luxury Feel in a Smaller Footprint
The completed renovation proves that a limited space can still deliver a high-end result when the design is carefully considered. What was once a tired and underwhelming bathroom has been transformed into a contemporary space that feels calm, spacious and beautifully resolved. It is a great example of how thoughtful planning, quality finishes and smart layout decisions can completely change the experience of a room.
