Leederville Semi-Industrial Kitchen Renovation with Exposed Steel Beam

This Leederville kitchen renovation focused on creating a distinctive semi-industrial space with strong character and improved functionality. A key part of the project was removing the wall to open up the layout, with a structural steel beam installed and intentionally left exposed, adding a clear architectural feature and reinforcing the industrial feel.

The new kitchen includes custom cabinetry with clean lines, durable benchtops, and modern appliances, all working around a practical U-shaped layout. The farmhouse-style sink acts as a focal point, while the mix of materials including tiled splashback, concrete-look flooring, and metal finishes creates a cohesive semi-industrial aesthetic without feeling overdone.

The result is a kitchen that feels open, functional, and visually different to standard renovations, with the exposed beam and material choices giving it a strong identity suited to the inner-city Leederville style.
