Saying Goodbye to a Dated Colour Scheme

Before the renovation, this Parkerville bathroom was still defined by a strong 1980s pink palette that made the space feel tired, dated and completely out of step with the rest of the home. Pink tiles, pink cabinetry and pink fixtures gave the room a look the homeowners were ready to leave behind, creating a bathroom that no longer felt fresh, welcoming or timeless.

A Cleaner, More Contemporary Direction

The goal of this bathroom renovation was to modernise the space entirely by replacing the old colour scheme with a more neutral and enduring palette. By introducing grey and white tones, the design was able to create a bathroom that feels brighter, calmer and much more aligned with contemporary living. The focus was not only on improving the look of the room, but also on upgrading the quality of the materials and fixtures throughout.

Fresh Finishes with Lasting Appeal

New wall and floor tiles, a floating white vanity, a grey stone benchtop and updated chrome fixtures all helped reshape the bathroom into a cleaner and more refined space. A frameless glass shower screen and modern white fittings completed the transformation, removing every trace of the old pink aesthetic. The finished result feels light, polished and far more timeless, showing how a clear design direction can completely change the feel of a home.
